There is very little you can do at home to stop a dog's diarrhea, and much of what you can try presumes the problem is stress or a minor intestinal infection. You can try adding some canned pumpkin or beets to your dog's food (no salt added, preferrably) to add some fiber, which may help solidify your dog's stools. You can also try waiting it out a couple of days.
However, if your dog is acting otherwise ill (doesn't want to play, doesn't want to eat, etc.) or if the diarrhea doesn't resolve in a couple of days, you need to take your dog to your veterinarian for an examination.
Incidentally, you should NEVER give your dog human medications - dogs are very sensitive to human medications and you can cause a severe overdose or even death with them.

There can be so many things that are causing persistant diarreah. Take your dog to the vet.
You should pay attention to what its eating and see if that food is disrupting its normal stool patterns.
Only feed your dog its dog food. Giving it excess amounts of human food can mess up its stomach and cause diarrhea.
If your dog has diarrhea, withhold food for 12 hours. If problem persists, see a vet about it.
