unhook battery or scan tool will do it
If it is near your home, you can run a mechanics light from your house or garage and hang it in the engine compartment near the battery. Rest the hood closed, don't slam it. The heat from the bulb will help your battery resist the cold. === === Also, a fully charged battery better resists the effects of cold temperatures.
usually on the rear lower end of engine--follow + battery cable
wiil a 1999 blazer engine fit a 2002 blazer
Had the same problem on two occasions with my 99 Blazer...sounds as though your alternator is going bad. The car will run good while the battery is charged up, but as the battery wears down, the engine will run poorly and the gauges will operate erratically. Eventually, the battery will not have enough energy to allow the engine to run, and it will stall.
Fix the cause of the codes, and clear the codes with a scanner or by unhooking the battery.
Group size 75 CCA 650
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery, remove the two bolts from the starter, drop the starter enough to disconnect the wires from it and remove the starter from the engine.
Discconect the negative cable from the battery for a few minutes and that should do the trick
Like an electric motor--usually located at the lower rear end of the engine--follow the + battery cable
It should be bolted to the engine block anywhere you can put it. Make sure it is on cast iron.
With a fully charged battery (12.68 volts) and engine running at idle with no accessories on, 14.5 volts. You will not get a accurate reading if the battery is not fully charged.
