From my daughters experience i think its a surgical solution. My daughter had a belly button that stuck our heaps and it turned out to be a hernia, for cosmetic reasons we chose to have it fixed when she was young so as it would not become an issue when she got older. She was not bothered by it ever but we were worried that she would be embarressed by it as a teenager and we were told that it can become dangerous as the child grows, and im not sure that i am absolutely correct when i say this but, apparently it is the intestine that sticks out and as the tummy grows it can strangle the intestine which can cause all sorts of problems. Hope this helps, and by the way my daughter now has the cutest little belly button and the operation was a quick simple procedure, in fact the afternoon after the op she was wanting to swing off monkey bars. 4. Prices for piercings vary from shop to shop and city to city. Be sure you phone and ask them what the total price is including any *aftercare solutions they may try to sell you (* Professional body piercing studios won't try to sell you aftercare solution, they will recommend cleansers and soaps but that's it if you want it they will sell it but they will not force you to buy it.)
5. Do your research, check these places out and find a studio that you are comfortable with, talk to the piercer and discuss you wishes.
