it could be that your dog has recently been bathed and the shampoo hasn't been washed off properly so re-wash your dog with luke warm water. Or this could be something more serious like a skin infection so take it to the vet. X

How do you treat a fungus on a dog's ear flap?

A damp ear is a perfect breeding ground for fungus or bacteria, especially for dogs with ear flaps (ears that hang down). When bathing your dog, be sure to not let water into the ears--use cotton to block the ear canal. If your dog's a swimmer, use a towel and then some cotton balls to dry the ears.

What to use on a dog's irritated skin that looks burned?

It is common in dogs and referred to as hot spots. You should keep it clean. You can bath the area with a mild detergent or baby shampoo, and pat dry. Try to keep the dog from scratching or biting it (good luck). You can use hydrocortisone spray to stop the itching. Benadryl tablets can also stop the itch. We have always used Benadryl, but you should check with your Vet first.

What should I do when I let my dog on the leather couch but he scratches it?

Personally, I would begin to teach the dog to keep off the sofa. If you feel that you would still like your dog to stay on the sofa, then a good way to stop them from scratching is to use a small water bottle and everytime sratching occurs, use a small squirt on the dog's back to give them a shock. If even this doesn't work, the best thing to do is to pull them off the sofa! Hope this info helped!
