When I went to the Grand Canyon I did allot of things, I even went to a 3D movie of the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long and ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles (6.4 to 29 km). It also attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) (6000 feet), so it is very scary to look over the edge.
There are trips available to fly into the canyon by helicopter or plane and if you want your can hike or pack trail down into the canyon. It is also possible to raft through the canyon on an expedition but you need to book the years in advance.
The area round the canyon (the painted desert etc) is very beautiful and there are stores where you can purchase things.
I ended up buying a poster of the grand canyon and still have it. If your thinking of going you should, it is regarded as one the natural wonders of the world.
