it could be a iac valve or a vac leak start with vac leak search if all vacum lines are right then turn to your iac idal air controle
what causes a roaring sound in a 2004 pontiac sunfire after it warms up? it runs great and idles great and quiet except for this.Anonymously
It is because of how fast the car idles. When you start the car it is idling high and when the engine warms up it slows the idle to about 650 RPMs and the torque converter in your transmission is slipping and not moving you forward at that low an RPM. what causes the torque converter to slip? CAn it be a sensor problem?
air idle controller solonoid very simple i just unlugged mine and it idles like its carburated till it warms up
could be bad mounts on either the tranny or engine?
Try checking out your catalytic converter. it may be plugged which causes you engine to die after you drive it for a bit. try checking your gas for water that may be the problem also chek your fuel filter it may be plugged.
Cars often idle fast when you start them up. The automatic choke will make the car idles fast for a while then the idle speed will slow down, once the engine warms up.
When your motor warms up your oil, gasoline, and transmission fluid; it helps your motor run free
1) the engine oil level is low 2) the engine oil is old - making it very thin, especially after the engine warms up. Likely the oil light is doing its job and calling your attention to the level and condition of the engine oil.
because the rangers come with mechanical cooling fans so when the engine is cold it idles faster so the fan will run faster as the engine warms up the idle speed slows.
Could be a tired power steering pump.
Sounds like a fan belt. Have it checked. or an sai motor
If a 1989 Honda Accord is experiencing idle issues the idle air control valve should be checked. A malfunctioning valve will cause the engine to run richer to compensate for less air and cause the car to have bad fuel economy.
