A genetic disorder which causes the incomplete breakdown of tryptophan in the intestines. Exact metabolic process is unknown. Sometimes called 'blue diaper syndrome'. Although realitivly harmless in itself, babies with this disorder can go on to develop kidney disease, so it is wise to have the baby checked out.
