In science years ago, I was taught that genes for brown eyes are "dominant" genes, so most people will have brown eyes (or variants of brown, such as green). See these articles that I found doing a quick search (and other articles you may find online from searches):

they're probably UV burns. if they are, they'll be sore when you first notice them (like they eye is bruised), and they'll never fade or go away. wear sunglasses if you're going outside, even if it's overcast, or you could damage the eye even more and eventually lose your eyesight.

Brown spots on the white part of your eyes might be a melanoma or might be just a common spot. These spots are generally harmless and are not unusual unless they are cancerous.

They are like freckles in the eye, it is a pigment. Don't worry, they are usually harmless but if your are worried, consult your doctor.

You will have to ask an eye doctor why you have a brown dot in your eye. It might be a freckle.
