Not usually. This is probably alopecia and should probably be evaluated by a veterinarian. Sometimes hair loss is nothing more than the dog having a chronically itchy spot, but sometimes it is a sign of a major disease.

∙ 14y agoBelieve it or not, Chihuahuas can lose hair if they're under a certain amount of stress. I would reccommend you take it to a vet for a second opinion though. Hope I helped!!

∙ 10y agoThe most common cause for Chihuahua dogs to loose hair from their ears are mites. They damage the skin and its follicles which result in hair loss for the dog.
