What causes grand am se to lose all power in drive and wants to die in park ....not the coil pack could it be the tps sensor or the iav valve?

It could definitely be the TPS. I am having TPS problems right now, and if you have a dead cell in your TPS, then when you go to accelerate it could easily just die. Also, if your TPS is running too low, your car could just stall while idling. Its roughly 50 dollars for a new one. If your Check Engine Light has been coming on, it is a good idea to get your codes read too.
