Small animals such as guinea pigs need more thermal insulation than large animals, having a higher ratio of their body's surface area to volume. Hair is also protective, against the various scratches and abrasions which skin might otherwise suffer.

It is either due to stress but other wise, I don't have a clue. That is what happened to my guinea pig.

It's transforming into a human. Unfortunately, this is quite common and the human/guinea pig mix is very dangerous. Take cover while you can...it may be too late.

well if there is alot fallen out and a rash its a flea or something and you have to take to a vet

This could be good or bad some pigs dont have hair on there bellys at all. Others could mean they are pregnant or have a parasite.
