could be your throttle position sensor or check and make sure butterfly flap is closing properly.
The only sensors that I am aware of on the throttle body is the throttle position sensor.
A throttle position sensor might keep the engine from starting. Any number of things can cause a vehicle not to start. The starter and the gas line sensors are also a possible culprit.
Answer , location of temperature sensorI just changed the Temperature sensor on my Pontiac and it was located on the engine block right underneath the throttle control.
First loosen up the screws on the air intake duct( the big plastic shroud going into the throttle) and remove the hoses and wires from it. Disconnect the two sensors (MAF and TPS sensors) You can squeeze the clips with your fingers to disconnect. Remove the air intake duct. Disconnect the throttle cable and the Cruise control cable. Remove the two retaining bolts and the two retaining nuts from the side of the throttle body with an 12 MM socket. Carefully separate the throttle body from the throttle, making extra certain not to ruin the gasket. You may need to disconnect the coolant hoses. Clamp the ends with either vice grips or stoppers, so as not to lose any coolant. Place a rag or two (or three) under the throttle body and spray Throttle plate cleaner into the backside of the throttle plate while moving the butterfly back and forth. Do not spray continuously. make sure to get deep into the cavities and jets. Replace throttle body, coolant hoses, sensor wires and throttle cables and air intake duct.
These are all potentiometers
All throttle Position Sensors are on the throttle body
1974 models does not have throttle positions sensors. 1974 models have a carburetor. Only models with fuel injection have throttle position sensors. Sounds like someone is pulling your leg.
Coolant temperature sensors are usually located on the radiator.
No. Not that I've seen or heard of.
On the throttle body, opposite the cables. On the throttle body, opposite the cables.

Oxygen, temperature, speed, throttle position.
