Best Answer

it's a condition in which the near objects can be seen clearly while the distant objects appear blurred.

in it,the image of distant objects is formed in front of the retina.

REASONS OF MYOPIA:

the 2 possible reasons of it are:

(a) the eye ball is lengthed from front or back

(b) the lens is too curved (even both reasons may occur together).

CORRECTION OF MYOPIA:

this defect can be suitable concave(diveging)lens lens which causes the light rays to divege before they strike the lens of the eye . Most of ur classmates may be suffering frm myopia (power of glasses used is mentioned in minus"-")

Although a direct cause is not known precisely, it is basically a problem of old age. The eye loses its ability to focus on near objects, just as the body loses its ability to produce hair pigment or to retain its elasticity in the skin is diminished or lost.

said to be caused by an elongation of the eyeball. This means that the oblong (as opposed to normal spherical) shape of the myopic eye causes the cornea and lens to focus at a point in front of the retina
