Check the plug-in for the trailer lights, if it has one. If not, check the Headlight switch. It probably has a burnt wire.

most likely 2 options a short in a wire or other wise the headlight switch is screwed up and needs to be replaced

Dead short in circuit

Remove all bulbs and sockets

Replace fuse and start replacing bulbs one at a time to determine where problem exists so you can repair

a shorted wire to car ground. May be the license plate light shorted.
