the kinetic energy of a particle determines how much force the gas particles exerts on the container. Kinetic energy is the amount of energy a particle has to move so i think it can be measured by how fast a particle moves. The pressure is the amount of times the gas particles colllide with the container and the pressure can be increased by increasing the temprature or by reducing the volume of the container( making it smaller) which results in the particles coliding more either because they have more kinetic energy so they move faster or because the volume of the container is smaller so they have less space which increases the chances of the particles colliding.
