What causes a 1998 Pontiac transport to run hot and engine shuts off
The steering wheel shimmering could be warped front rotors, when slowing down. The stalling when slowing down could be a bad fuel filter.
the frame that holds the window in is bent and you have to change the whole inside of the door not just the frame.
If it's hesitant/stalling on acceleration and stalling on slow down or stops, then could possibly be the fuel filter.
check the transmission mount for being bad.

Hello, The cause of a wheel bearing needing to be replaced on that and any other vehicle is simply age. It wears down over time. Usually around 10 years. Maybe more, maybe less. Depending on how often the van is driven, and how it's driven. I have a 1997 Transport and I am just having to replace them for the first time myself. I hope this helps, Duane
