Peeta and Katniss have a fake wedding planned in Catching Fire, but the wedding is cancelled because the two are sent back to the Hunger Games for a second time. Peeta and Katniss fall truly in love in Mockingjay, the third and last book. After Peeta gets through his mental disorder that makes him hate Katniss, the two work together to destroy the Capitol. The two later comfort each other as they once did. Peeta comforts Katniss when she has nightmares, and they begin to love each other more than they ever had. Katniss realizes she doesn't want Gales hatred and fire, but Peeta's calmness and strength. Peeta and Katniss get married for real this time, in the Epilogue of Mockingjay. After 15 years of begging Katniss, Katniss finally agrees to Peeta's wish of children. They have two children whose names aren't mentioned. A girl who is old enough to know what The Hunger Games were, and a male toddler. The girl has dark hair and blue eyes, and the boy has blonde curly locks and gray eyes.
