Just take a sample of the water to a pool shop and they will work it out for you free then they will advise you on exactly what you require to get the water right. make sure that the water you take comes from a couple of feet down from the surface and that the bottle you use is clean. Or.. get an Above Ground Pool Cleaning Kit. It has full instructions and everything you need to get started. Its not hard if you stay on top of it. Leave it too long, and it gets much harder.
No chemicals. Pump it out and refill after cleaning it.
