To earn a M.D. (medical degree), you must attend 4 years of medical school. To be accepted into a medical school, one must complete 4 years of college and earn a GPA > 3.5. At this time, your major makes no difference as long as you take those specific subjects for the pre-med program of the respective college you are attending. By the way, after completing medical school, you will have an additional 3-5 years of residency, working at a hospital in the field of pediatric/adolescent medicine.

There are no particular classes in high school that are required to become a pediatrician, so you can take just about whatever you want. The main thing would be to do well enough to get into medical school.

If you really wanted to take courses that would make learning what you need to learn in college easier, I would suggest math and science courses. You will have to take a bunch of these in college and they help you to think analytically.

What classes do you need to take to get a bachelor's degree in Florida?

Classes needed to earn a bachelor's degree can vary from college to college and from degree to degree within each college. Generally, there are some core courses that are required by almost all colleges for a bachelor's degree. English Composition is almost always required. Courses from a variety of disciplines, such as humanities, science, and others will be, too. The best way to know what classes are required is to chose the degree you would like to earn and look up what is required for that particular degree. You can also look up the core requirements for all degrees and might be able to start taking them while you are still in high school.
