In the US, one needs: 2 full years of Biology, including Biochemistry, 2 full years of Chemistry (general and organic). Statistics, Physics, and a bachelor's degree. Unfortunately, that's not all it takes. A stellar GPA (over 3.5avg), research, volunteer work, internship with a dental office, is also needed over and above the school work

Organic Chem + Biochemistry = Pharmacology (taught in dental school)
