You need to find out which traits are dominant or recessive. Dominant traits are usually in every generation unless it's a sex-linked trait and one generation was of only one gender and the trait applies to the opposite.

black is more dominate than brown is the most dominate of all other colors. (Brown is stronger than green, blue an hazle.) and black hair is more dominate than brown hair. the following is about eyes but the basis works for hair as well

but that doesn't mean your child will have brown eyes just cause you do. if you 'carry' any other eye color as a recessive gene (ie: one of your parents or grand parents had a different color than brown) you could pass that gene and he could pass the green

my mom had brown hazel eyes and my dad had dark brown

i have blue/gold hazel

i have grandparents on both side that had blue eyes so i believe my mom gave me her recessive hazel trait that causes colors to mix and my dad must have carried a recessive blue gene.

if you're a dark skin tone it's more likely you won't carry a color besides brown in your genes but it's always possible

Possible eye colors: blue or green

Possible hair colors: blond, brown, strawberry blond, red

my opinion eye colour could be green, blue, or even grey! (both parents can carry recessive genes that do not appear in their phenotype)

hair color is believed to be determined by the combination of at least two genes: one that is responsible for red pigments , and another which is responsible for melanin dark pigment as both parents are blonds, they must have the most recessive gene alleles for melanin (=least melanin), and red pigments (= no red pigment), thus their baby cannot inherit reddish or brownish hair at all.

Brown is usually the dominant colour, but this is not always the case. You just have to wait till baby is born I'm afraid to say

It really depends if the baby will look more like the mother or more like the father. Who knows, maybe it will have brown hair green eyes!

It depends on which gene is more dominant. Typically the gene that causes dark hair/brown eyes is more dominant.

If the mother has blond hair and the father has red hair what color hair will the baby have?

Possible colors: blond, brown, red, auburn

Is a dirty blond closer to brown hair or to it's origin of blond hair?

It depends whether it is a sandy dirty blond or more of a caramel dirty blond . A sandy color would be more like blond, but caramel would be brown.

Dark hair parents light hair child how is this possible?

Everyone has at least two genes for hair color, but brown is dominant. If both parents have Brown-Blond genes, then they will have brown hair (because it is dominant over blond), but the child could get one blond gene from each parent and thus be Blond-Blond, and thus be blond.

What color eyes and hair will a baby most likely have if the father has blonde hair blue eyes and the mother has brown hair green eyes?

The Baby will almost definitely have brown hair and brown eyes. If the father has a blonde haired gene or blue eyed gene (if one of his parents or grand parents had blonde hair and blue eyes) there is a possibility the baby will have blonde hair and blue eyes (one in four chance).

Your hair as a child blonde now mousy with dark blue eyes husband as child red hair now sandy brown with blue eyes what colour hair will baby have?

The child could have almost any hair color. It all depends on the past history of the family. Hair color is determined by 2 polygenes. One that is Blonde or Brown. The other is Red or not red. The father has a brown allele present, which is dominant to blond. Blond and red are both recessive hair colors, so the likelihood of the child having either is lower to begin with. Because of the father's brown allele there's a 50% chance of the child having darker hair, and depending on the allele that the mother possesses, there's either a 50% or a 0% chance of the child having red hair. So there could be a 50% chance of the child being blond, a 50% chance of the child being dark haired, and depending on the mother's allele a 50% chance of being a darker red haired individual. Hopefully you can make sense of that.

If red is the dominant hair color but the father has brown hair and the mother has red hair and the hair color of the father is dominant then what color will the hair of their child be?

It's very hard to answer this question as there are no details on what alleles the fathers or mothers DNA contains. The father has to have an allele for red hair for the child to have a chance of having it. Presuming that the father has a brown and red hair allele and the mother has the same it works out like this. Brown + Brown = Brown Brown + Red = Brown (Because it's dominant) Brown + Red (from other parents) = Brown (Because brown is dominant) Red + Red = Red The chances of brown therefore is 3:1 as you cannot be sure on what the child will receive. MORE like 5-1 his here will be blond
