2 'dark brown or black' eyed parents can have a child with any of the possible eye colors but it is unlikely they will have a light eyed child, such as light blue or blue

Blue eyed father brown eyed mother blue eyed grandfather of the father what color eye will offspring have?

Brown. My sister and I both have brown eyes. My grandparents on my fathers side and my grandmother on my mothers side were all blue eyed. My mother and her father had brown eyes. The genes for brown eyes are more dominant.

Can to blue eyed parents have brown eyed children?

no they cannot because if you have blue eyes, your alleles are bb, and so... bb and bb have no B, and therefore, with no dominant gene, there cannot be a brown eyed child.

Eye color can a child have blue eyes from brown and green eyed parents?

yes, people with brown eyes can carry the blue eye gene, so two brown-or-green-eyed people who both carry the blue eye gene have a 25% chance chance of a blue eyed child (with each birth).

Why do a lot of people just assume that there are only blue eyed and brown eyed people -people have hazel green and grey eyes too?

Most likely because blue and brown are the most common colors for eyes. It would be too long and cumbersome to say all the possible colors for eyes. They may also want to know which color-blue or brown- your eyes are closest to.

If you crossed a homozygous dominant man with brown eyes with a homozygous recessive woman with blue eyes what color or colors would their children have?

I don't know what your scientific terms mean, but I can tell you that I am a blue eyed female (my father was brown eyed/my mother had hazel eyes). The father of my two children is brown eyed. Both of my children have blue eyes.

What are the specifics about the genetics for two blue eyed people to have a brown eyed baby?

It is impossible for a baby to have brown eyes if both of his parents have blue eyes since the brown eye gene is more dominant.

What color eyes should a husky dog have?

Siberian huskies have either brown or blue eyes. Sometimes they can have one of each.

Can brown eyed dad and hazel eyed mother make blue eyed baby?

Yes, absolutely. Hazel eyes is the combination of the blue and brown eye color gene. For instance, a blue eyed mother and brown eyed father could have a hazel eye colored child. So that means all hazel eyed children can have a brown eyed child because they carry the brown eyed gene in their DNA from their father, in this case.

Can a blue eyed man and green eyed woman have a brown eyed child?

Yes, but: eye color is not a single trait with brown eyes being dominant over blue eyes. There are at least 8 genes that influence eye color. It is the amount of melanin inside special cells of the iris that give the color of eyes. Caucasian children are usually born with blue eyes but eventually the eye color changes. The case here with a green eyed man in a brown eyed woman, the child would not have truly blue eyes but would have a slight shading of blue. It is thought that all blue-eyed people are related and have a common ancestor somewhere between 6,000 and 10,000 years ago.

Can a baby have brown eyes if the mother has brown eyes but the recessive gene for blue eyes and the father has blue eyes?

Eye color is actually not controlled by straight Mendellian genetics. However, based on your question, the probability of a brown eyed child would be 50% and the probability of a blue eyed child would be 50%.
