You would not want to grow a plant in green light because the chlorophyll reflects green light. Many other colors can be used however including red, yellow, and blue. Although it is true that other pigments exist in chlorophyll the primary color is green.

Plants use light in both the red and blue spectrum of visible light in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll doesn't use green light well and so it is reflected out, making most plants look green to us. Therefore, green is the most useless color in photosynthesis.

Most plants have a specific use for almost every color of light, but as you can tell just by looking at most plants, they reflect almost all of the green light they recieve. Not every plant reflects green light, but they usually substitute it for another color.
