No. The series was planned to have three books (Eragon, Eldest, Empire) but Christopher Paolini figured that Empire was going to be too long so he made The Inheritance Trilogy the Inheritance Cycle. Empire was split into Brisingr and Inheritance.
As of now, there are no official announcements regarding a new book in the "Inheritance Cycle" by Christopher Paolini. However, the author has expressed interest in revisiting the world of Alagaësia in the future. Fans are eagerly awaiting any updates on a potential continuation of the series.
There are four books in the Inheritance Cycle. The first is Eragon, with a blue dragon (Saphira) and background on the cover. The second is titled Eldest, wich has Red dragon (Thorn) and cover, and the third is Brisingr, which has a golden dragon (Glader) and a black background. The fourth and final book has not yet been released. The title is unknown, but it will have a green dragon (representing the unhatched green egg in Galbatorix's lair) on the front.
That is a question that only Chris himself could answer. By the looks of it he might go on to something entirely diffrent. Might write a few short stories, or might stop enirely. He has enough money for the rest of his life at this point ya' know?
