Linux has broad support for a wide range of devices and platforms, so there is no single computer that is "best" suited overall. Generally speaking, any motherboard will "work;" ones with Intel processors and chipsets will probably offer the best performance and stability. Intel graphics cards should work out of the box on any distribution; NVIDIA makes excellent (though proprietary) drivers for their cards. It is probably best to avoid ATI cards and graphics. Virtually all Ethernet adapters work; wireless cards from Intel and Linksys usually have drivers available.
Just about all of them, actually it really has to do with the motherboard.
Linux is used for all types of computers, from servers to desktops to cellphones to embedded kiosks. For almost any purpose that you could need a computer with an operating system, you can use Linux.
Don't use Windows use Linux Ubuntu
Linux is an operating system for the computer. You can purchase computers that already have Linux pre-installed on the computer. Select Dell computers come equipped with Linux.
I think it should be Linux. Linux is famous for running effectively on powerful computers. It is very customizable and does not crash easily on constant use.
No. Use samba to interface to the Windows network.
If that company was Apple or Microsoft, using Linux instead would be a bit bad for business.

Windows is better for desktop computers. Linux is better for servers.
In my opinion, Linux, in all its many distributions (Ubuntu, Mint, puppy, and many more) is better than Windows. Of my seven computers, only my wife's computer uses Windows 7 - my six computers use Ubuntu!
Linux PreLoaded is a UK website that sells desktop computers. They have decent prices, plus the Linux computers have great ratings already in 2013. They ship from the UK.
use shortcuts. you can work on the computers without mouse and cursor using those shortcuts.
I use a MAC. It uses UNIX for its operating system instead of MS DOS. A number of older computers used CP/M. Some computers use LINUX. In fact many nations or bureaus, education departments, states, or provinces require LINUX instead of MS DOS. LINUX has many similarities to UNIX and almost UNIX all programs will run on LINUX straight out of the box. A number of MS DOS programs will also run on LINUX.
