I've never heard the phrase before, but would guess it means sitting on concrete blocks and anchored to the concrete pad with cables or chains.

In a divorce is a house considered real property?

Generally yes. The land is what constitutes real property and, generally, the house permanently attached to it is part of the real property. Mobile homes may be treated differently. If that is the case, your attorney can confirm if the home is part of the real property in your particular situation.

What is the difference between infrastructure and real estate business?

Real estate is land and everything permanently attached to it -- so a house is real estate, but a mobile home is personal property. Infrastructure is roads, bridges, sewer lines, etc. Since these items are permanently attached to the land, they are part of the real estate (a subset of real estate).

Do you have to pay property tax on a trailer?

Yes, in most states in the United States you will pay either a personal property tax or real property tax on a trailer (also known as mobile home or manufactured home). Each state defines what constitutes personal property or real property as the terms relate to mobile homes but typically a mobile home that is permanently fixed to the site is considered real property. If you own land where a temporary mobile home has been placed you could receive a real property tax bill for the land and a personal property tax bill for the mobile home.

How do you define a mobile home?

A mobile home is just that "a home which is mobile." The mobiles have wheels, unlike a stick house which is attached to a foundation. Mobile homes can be classified as "real property" if the wheels are removed and the home is placed on a permanent foundation.

what is the benefit of mobile home deck plans?

A mobile home deck plan is a separate foundation not attached to the mobile home itself. It is used to support the mobile home. The benefit of having a mobile home deck is to be able to move your mobile home from one place to another without having to rip out the foundation.

Does a mobile or modular home have a deed?

Generally:Homes are not transferred by deed, the real estate to which the home is attached is transferred by deed. A modular home is permanently attached to the real estate and therefore ownership would be acquired and transferred by deed.Ownership of a mobile home is evidenced by a certificate of title. Once the mobile home is purchased it can be installed on a rented lot on another person's land. When the owner wants to sell, she must sign over the title to the new owner and a new certificate of title is obtained through the DMV in most states. However, state laws vary and the laws in your state should be checked.

If you are selling a home and providing title insurance coverage and if the home is a manufactured home on a leased lot should the title insurance value match the house value or the house and lot?

It depends on the lease and it if it a leasehold deed or just a rental agreement. It would also depend on whether the house is considered permanently attached to the land or "mobile" (has wheels, not attached to a real foundation, etc.) If the land is a long term lease with a leasehold deed interest and the home is permanently attached, then it may be insurable. If the lease is just a monthly or annual lot rent and the home is not permanently attached, title insurance may not be available. Your best bet is to contact your local title agency so they can review your specific leases, etc. to determine whether or not they can insure it. There just isn't enough info provided here in order to give you a more complete answer.

Who own your home if another person owns the land where it sits?

If the home is permanently attached to the real estate (not a mobile home) then the owner of the real estate owns the home. if you build a home on another person's land, they own it. Perhaps the owner would allow you to move the structure. However, you would need to restore the land to its natural state.

Can a mobile home be attached to another home as an addition?

You need to inquire at your local building department. That would be covered by local building ordinances.
