It could be a cut wire or a bad door switch. I fixed one awile back a small rodent had gotten behind the panel and chewed the wire going to the switch. Also, A relay could have gone bad and is stuck in the "on" position, happened to me once.

Start car, turn steering wheel fully to the right Open hood, disconnect remote battery terminals, remove air intake filter box, remove vented panel inside front of right wheel well, disconnect exposed battery terminal, slide battery aft until other terminal is exposed, disconnect the other terminal, slide battery aft and out into wheel well. reverse order to install
