What could be causing all the inside lights on my 1990 Olds Ninety Eight to stay on with the only way to cut them off being to disconnect the battery?

It could be a cut wire or a bad door switch. I fixed one awile back a small rodent had gotten behind the panel and chewed the wire going to the switch. Also, A relay could have gone bad and is stuck in the "on" position, happened to me once.
