I had the same problem with a 1992 Park Avenue with the 3800 engine. I first replaced the electronic ignition but that did not fix the problem. I then replaced the crankshaft heat sensor. That fixed my problem.

Had this problem with my '87. I believe it was a bad fuel injector.
As I recall, it was a matter of turning off the radio, pressing SET, and then holding SEEK or SCAN to set the hours or minutes. When finished, press SET again.
Possibly the crank case oil sensor. Had the same symptoms on a Buick LeSabre '91
It sounds like the Throttle Position Sensor needs replaced.
On a 2004 Buick Lesabre it could be a faulty (MAP) Sensor, Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor. The car could start, run and drive, and when you shut it off it will crank but not start up again.
below the fuel pump there is a diaode with a float attached, what happens is the diaode burns out with repeated usage, pull the tank pay 50.00 to get a new sender to put on the float and taaaa daaaaaaaa your fuel guage will work again
Fuel pump is gping out it may have enough fuel to start then it works like a vacuum but the pressure is not enough to keep it going. Same thing happend to my Buick Lasabre.
i had the same problem with my 97 lesabre. it ended up being the fuel pump relay which is located under the top rear engine panel, on the passenger's side under the hood. may be same problem with yours.
When the security light is on the starter will not engage. You must wait a few minutes for the light to turn off before attempting to start car again, this is to help prevent theft. Ensure the contacts on the black chip on the key are clean and that the chip is centered in the key.

First,with knuckles [or Chaos] give your nuetural chao 45 red chaos drives. then give it a chao fruit.after that,you give it a 10 purple chaos drives and 5 yellow ones.then switch to shadow [or Tikal] and pet it until its nueteral again before it turns into a hero chao.switch again with knuckles and give it 25 more red chaos drives,30 purple ones and 10 yellow ones,again! finaly you let it evolve when its ready.once it evovles,keep giving it red chaos drives until its turns red from the pink color it starts with when it evolves!
In the exhaust manifold or near the pipe, must raise car to get at it . better to work on when engine is cool,easer to to remove and you won't get burned.use never sieze if using old one again (new ones already have it on ) simply unscrews with wrench, do not force may damage threads

You need to check if your DVD drive has new firmware available. Yes, DVD drives have firmware updates too.
1988 buick lasabre stalls and sputters like out of gas not all the time though with full or half tank don't matter....i changed the fuel filter..i added lucas injector cleaner...i just changed the water pump that went seemed to run fine after for 1 day then started acting up again the fuel pump in tank seems to be louder not sure what to change next maybe a sensor ?

Car is warmed up and you come to a stop, sometimes when you accelerate from a stop the transmission is 3rd gear when it should be in 1st gear. Got the DTC from the computer 24 Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) Circuit 31 Park/Neutral Switch Circuit I replaced the VSS with one I got from the GM dealer, changed fluid/filter, cleared the OBD codes but the problem came back. I got the codes again this time only the 24 code. 24 Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Circuit So to summarize, after driving for a while the car is nice and warm I am stopped at a traffic signal. Upon accelerating the car is in 3rd gear and is very slow to get up to speed due to the gear ratio. The problem is intermittent. For some reason the transmission is stuck in 3rd gear and did not return to 1st upon stopping at the light. So I have already replaced the VSS sensor, fluid, filter.
