Is the fuse blown? Are all the electrical wires to the switch connected? A new unit from an auto wrecker shouldn't be expensive.
The power of the engine and the maximum speed of the 1971 Toyota Celica ST Coupe are 103 hp and 118 mph respectively.
95 bhp / 118 bhp GT is the power of the Toyota Celica gt 1975 engine and its maximum speed is 77 mph.
on the rear of transmission case
approx 130kmph (assuming it's not a GT4)
5 speeds dont need trany fluid. lloll
No car today has a governor. RPM is computer controlled. The RPM on the Celica is controlled at the red line spec for the engine. Speed has nothing to do with the computer control--it is the RPM.
Hi, this 5-speed Manual Transmission from Toyota was installed from factory in the following cars: Toyota Camry Toyota MR2 (with the 3SG-TE engine) Toyota Levin GTZ (supercharged - Japan) with different bell housing Toyota Celica (Japanese market only) Hope that helps
You can't as the governor is controlled by the ECM, and calculates speed from the tranmission. It cuts fuel at 117mph. Which a GT or ST could barely do falling off a cliff, so I wouldn't worry about it.
The 1991 Toyota Celica STX features a 1.6 liter inline 4-cylinder engine. It is also equipped with a front wheel drive drivetrain and 5 speed manual transmission. In its max condition the 1991 Toyota Celica STX offers 103 horsepower at 6000 RPM. It has been known to get an average of 24 miles to the gallon on its fuel rating during city driving and 30 miles to the gallon on the highway.
The toyota celica is a fwd car so there not the car to go for when looking for performance(they have around 190HP) but they are reliable. The 2000-2003 model gets from 0-60 in 8 sec and the older is about the same, they also have a top speed is 140Mph. But the Celica Gt4 is a turbocharged variant which is somewhat powerful about 250Hp it gets from 0-60 mph in 6 sec and has a top speed of 155mph . So celicas are somewhat powerful if performance is whats needed the Gt4 is the one to go for. I hope this helped
check your vacuum hoses check your vacuum hoses
i had my 84 supra up to 135mph. this is despite the speedometer only going up to 130mph. my buddy in his 944 turbo was pacing me.
The cheapest and fastest way is to harvest an engine, computer and parts from an existing 5 speed celica. taking an automatic motor to a manual is pretty invasive and sometimes difficult and probably would recommend both be done by a professional. Either way the fist option would be the best way i feel for a do-it-yourself.
It could be anything from transmission speed sensor to just a broken speed cable.
toyotas have a resistor bank in line with heater motor each speed has a different value resistor. there is no resistor on high speed. it is located on passenger side in heater duct I thank it has two screws holding it on when you get it out you will see the resistors burned
take the battery and tray out youll find it undrneith mounted on the top of the transmission if you take th cable holder out makes it easier to get out
The heater motor speed resister is burned out.
I have that exact year Celica and just after the last fuel bar disappeared I managed to travel 50 miles, she did not konk out, this was at a consistent speed of 40mph. There must be a pretty good reserve tank in these overall fantastic cars. Brian. Ireland.
The main difference between a 5 speed Celica GT-S and a 6 speed Celica GT-S, is that the 6 speed has one more gear than the 5 speed does. This means that each gear in the 6 speed is 'shorter.' This can be explained by looking at the gears like a cake: you can cut the cake in to 5 pieces, or 6 slightly smaller pieces. However you cut it, though, it is the same amount of cake overall.
where is the speed pulse wire in a Toyota corolla
Most likely the wiring connector that connects the fan speed switch to the motor circuit has overheated and some contacts no longer transmit power.
150 mph 150 mph
The 2007 Toyota Camry has a top speed. The Toyota Camry can go from zero to sixty miles in 6.8 seconds. Its top speed is 145 miles per hour. This is the top speed of the Toyota Camry.
I own a 1991 gts with a cold and and high performance plugs and wires. with just me in the car i did 145 then i thought i saw a cop and had to brake, i had about 300 rpms left
I don't see why not. The normal cruising speed of 100 km/hr ( 62 mph ) in 5th gear is accomplished at around 3200 rpm, and celica has a high revving engine. Max torque doesn't arrive until you hit about 4200 rpm. i own a 92 celica, I love this little car, but there is just not enough power in lower rpm range.
