you could check the fuel pressure and fuel filter.
If your Virtual Machine freezes or becomes unresponsive you can restart the Virtual Machine by doing what?

Try the fuel pump, it may need to be replaced.
You could have dislodged your distributor cap (unusual but possible)
I have a 95 Pathfinder and had a similar issue. The engine would cut out when coming to a stop or making a turn but was fine when giving it gas. I had a fuel system flush done (but not a new fuel filter) and it has been fine since.
I'm going to go with a cracked distributor cap, especially if it is harder to restart the wetter it is.
This problem is due to a weak igniter circuit within the distributor and was solved by replacing the distributor.
timing belt just replaced one today
Ford Probe's are known for water getting in the distributor cap. If it happens on a day that when its wet outside check your distributor cap to see if theres any water in it.
did you have your ignition coil replaced? the signs are that the ignition coil is overheating thus you are able to restart after an hour, when the coil cools. also check if your ignition coil has a resistor. if it has, have it checked for continuity. did you have your ignition coil replaced? the signs are that the ignition coil is overheating thus you are able to restart after an hour, when the coil cools. also check if your ignition coil has a resistor. if it has, have it checked for continuity.
