It could be a bad overflow valve or the thermostat could be set to high and the heat is creating the leak. Also, if the test lever on the TPR valve is 'tested' or lifted, it is possible, if not likely that sediment inside the tank gets lodged in TPR valve preventing it from closing. This will create a contiuous leak from discharge tube into pan until valve is successfully closed.
Only if the coolant is leaking from the heater core, but you will see this.
Can a bad heatercore cause antifreeze to come out overflow jug. And heat go off and on.
Older heater with rust build up in the bottom of the tank.
Probably need to add antifreeze. Check the Radiator not the overflow tank. If you are low on antifreeze it will not circulate through the heater core.
No, it's not normal. You have a leak in the heater core or may just be connections to heater core. If left untreated, it will soak into your rug and eventually cause your floor to rot.
Engine overheating will cause the anti-freeze to surge into the overflow tank. A blown head gasket will also cause the anti-freeze to surge into the overflow tank.
there should be 2 hoses going into that firewall for the heater core, it is probably bad. find the 2 hoses and connect them together until you can repair the heater core, at least it will be driveable. one end of the hose attaches to where the top radiator hose connects to the motor, and the other end is on the water pump towards the bottom of the opposite side.
Yes, you can adjust the toilet clog to clause your toilet to overflow.
Antifreez, make sure your mixture is right
The heater core has no overflow hose. Cooling system is a closed loop system and the only overflow hose is the one going from the radiator cap to the reservoir. A thermostat that is stuck closed will cause the engine to overheat. Drain and flush the radiator, replace the thermostat, install a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water, bleed air from the system. You may also need to replace the radiator cap. Be sure and replace these parts with OEM parts. The heater core has no overflow hose. Sounds like the rubber line on the bottom of reservoir is leaking or tank is cracked CHECK IT OUT.
check and make sure that the hose clamps are tight mine was leaking at the bottom of the hose replaced heater core for nothing
