There were major changes in the world between 600 BCE and 600 CE. Far too many for this venue, however, this writer will attempt to name some major ones: 1. The Babylonian Empire rose and was demolished; 2. The Persian Empire rose and was demolished; 3. The New Kingdom of Egypt was taken over by a series of conqueror's; 4. The awesome & short lived empire of Alexander the Great was formed and fell apart; 5. The Roman empire rose & was demolished; 6. The Byzantine Empire rose and fell; 7. Christianity's roots and influence rose; 8. The Ottoman Empire rose, conquered Byzantium; 9. The Gupta & Maura empire in India rose & fell; 10. The Chinese dynasties rose; 11. The Mongol empire rose & fell; 12. The Native American empires rose & fell; 13. Europeans began the colonization of the New World; and 14. Islamic empires rose & fell. Clearly this is an outline and other events occurred, however, major changes are highlighted here.

For most of the time of the Roman empire, there was no African country to its south. Rome ruled the entire north African coastline up to an including some of the dessert. In the area of present day Sudan there were minor kingdoms which rose and fell, and some kingdoms in Ethiopia. There may have been southern African kingdoms at the time of the Romans also.

What does a rose and sword tattoo represent?
A rose and sword tattoo represents a type of yin-yang. A sword means war, destruction, and death. The rose represents live, peace, tranquility, and of course beauty and grace. The rose stops the sword from harming, the sword balances out that by stopping the rose from creating everything on earth to be peaceful. No matter how much we may hate war, we need war to balance out life.
