Many individuals pursuing a career as a psychologist will start with a Bachelors Degree with psychology as a major. At the completion of the degree, this does not make you a psychologist. You must go on for your graduate work, and most likely your doctorate to do anything meaningful in the field. However, thereare graduate programs at a Master's levelthat lead to positions asa School Psychologist and a very few in Clinical Psychology at a Masters level. The field of psychology can be broken down into many areas. The following link will be very helpful to you. Believe it or not, your high school classes do not matter in the way I suspect you may think they do. I suggest you do your best in your courses, and make sure you take the classes necessary to get into college or university. In order to become a psychologist (in most states, at least), you will need to first obtain your bachelor's degree; then go on to graduate school and obtain a minimum number of hours under supervision. Once you're in college or university, your counselor/advisor will help you determine which classes you should take to satisfy their requirements.
