Very high probability of valve damage. Havent seen one yet that hasn't bent valves when belt broke. hope this helps
timing belt
from 300 to 500 depending on engine and the area you are
Well I really have no idea what a ldv is, but if your timing belt breaks and your engine is an interference engine there will be damage. If it is not an interference engine there will be no damage.
I paid £360, although I got a few quotes around £500.
Yes, but not only valves will be damage. Yes, but not only valves will be damage.
On the left side of the speedometer the will be a button and you will have to hold it to edit the time.choose the time and to move on, hold it again thanks
Only if the valves come in contact with the pistons,I would replace the belt and check the compression in the cylinders,The engine will miss if there is a bent valve.I have had to replace the timing belt on my wifes car a couple of times with no engine damage after it broke.
It will do some internal damage ie bent valves being the main one. Hi I'm just half we through taken a head of a megane 1.4 coupe that had timing belt snapped. It will also cause damage to pistons as well, the amount of damage will be on how fast you was going when it let go but it will have cause damage though. If it has bent valves you may need to check the valve guides as well.
If it is an interference engine valves can bend when hit by the pistons.
yea it will lay it in shite
No the timing belt can be easily changed in a day with an experienced mechanic. Be prepared to spend atleast $300+
This should be done every 36000mil or 60000 km to be sure, they are rated to last as long as 100km but you needs to take driving habits into consideration.
