If you go to medical school in the United States, you must earn either a D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) or M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) degree to become a medical physician. Outside of the United States, the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) degree is sometimes earned to become a medical physician. With one of these medical degrees and a medical license, you can be a medical physician.
