A tree is a plant, an individual autotrophic organism, which can produce its own food in its internal chloroplasts by using carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight.

The word tree is a noun. A tree is a perennial plant. This woody plant has a trunk and can grows quite tall. As it grows, it develops branches. Some trees develop leaves, some develop needles, and some trees eventually bear fruit or nuts. Visit treeserviceclarksvilletn.com

I think the word you're thinking of may be "arboreal." According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, 'arboreal' is an adjective meaning, "of, relating to, or resembling a tree." It can also be used to describe animals that spend a good deal of time in trees...For instance, I've heard Biologists mention "arboreal monkeys." It's from the Latin "arbor," which means tree; it gives us such modern words as "arboretum" and "Arbor Day" :-) Hope this answers your question! Let us know if it doesn't!

A tree is a perennial woody plant. It is most often defined as a woody plant that has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground on a single main stem or trunk with clear apical dominance.[1] A minimum height specification at maturity is cited by some authors, varying from 3 m[2] to 6 m;[3] some authors set a minimum of 10 cm trunk diameter (30 cm girth).[4] Woody plants that do not meet these definitions by having multiple stems and/or small size, are called shrubs. Compared with most other plants, trees are long-lived, some reaching several thousand years old and growing to up to 115 m (379 ft) high.[5]
