Well, assuming you meaning Henry VII of England, to start with, he ended the wars of the Roses when he came to the throne in 1485, after his victory at Bosworth. During his reign he was a rather parsimonious king who established the monarchy on a solid financial footing after the 30 years of on again off again war that England suffered through, known as the Wars of the Roses. He also reestablished the rule of law and respect for the law.

Of course his son, Henry VIII, squandered most of the money his father had put into the treasury, but that's a different story!
