The quote "violence begets violence" was used by Martin Luther King.

The New Testament has a similar statement in Matthew 26:52, NIV: "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword".

No reference on Moses.

Jesus never ever taught that we should show violence towards unbelievers.

In fact, he taught the exact opposite - that we should love our neighbours (believers and non-believers) as we would love ouirselves. We should even love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.

This is in stark contrast to how the world thinks, and even how some other religions think. But if everyone loved unconditionally, what a different place the world would be.
