Lloyd George was known as a realist and wanted Germany to pay for damaged they had caused but not too harshly so that he could keep alliance with Germany. He was worried in case another war would begin. His main aims were for Germany to lose it's colonies and navy because they were threat to the British empire. Also, Germany was Britain second largest trading partner.
