Lloyd George was known as a realist and wanted Germany to pay for damaged they had caused but not too harshly so that he could keep alliance with Germany. He was worried in case another war would begin. His main aims were for Germany to lose it's colonies and navy because they were threat to the British empire. Also, Germany was Britain second largest trading partner.
He wanted justice.
Clemenceau wanted a very harsh peace, the return of French territories captured in the 1870 war (Alsace and Lorraine), reparations, and the demilitarisation of Germany. As he hated Germany.
He hoped to achieve, especially, self-determination among nations - each national group should have its own country in Europe; with some compromise where national groups would be too small to be politically and military viable.
