Mary's response is recorded in Luke 1. Initially she was surprised because she was a virgin, then she was submissive to God's plan, and finally Mary showed great joy and praised God in her words which are sometimes referred to as the Magnificat. 34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
38And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
46And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
I have no doubt that Mary would have reacted the same as any other woman when they found themselves to be with child. Mary must have had cross her mind the words of the angel who visited her and told her of the events that were to take place. That she had been with no man, but had been overcome by the Spirit would have seemed as a wonder to her.
According to the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 1:
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
28 And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed areyou among women!"
29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.
30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."
34 Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"
35 And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.
36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing will be impossible."
38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
the angel Gabriel told Mary in a dream.
Gabriel also told Joseph not to leave Mary because she was pregnant by the spirit of God!

The angel Gabriel
The angels tell the sheperds about Christ's birth.
The first people that visited Jesus as a baby were the shepherds. The shepherds were visited by an angel and were told about Jesus' birth.
After Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, the shepherds were the first to visit him, according to the New Testament. The angels announced the birth to the shepherds, who then went to see Jesus in the manger.
In the scriptures we read " Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused (Married) to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost". Joseph had not been with his wife (Had not touched her) since they were married. It was up to the angel to tell Joseph that Mary was to give birth to a special child who would be the savior of mankind. Joseph believed in what the angel had told him, so he took his wife away so that she might give birth privatly. He adopted Jesus as his own son and brought him up as such because he was given to him by the God.
"DO NOT BE AFRAID..FOR I BRING NEWS OF GREAT JOY. IN A MANGER YOU WILL FIND A BABY WRAPPED IN SCWODDLING CLOTHES.....LYING IN A MANGER." ...The shepherd took the mission to search for Baby Jesus
