electromagnetic induction
Micheal faraday was my great great grand dad he discovered bloons and eletrical stuff
From the Wikipedia article on Faraday's law of induction: "Electromagnetic induction was discovered independently by Michael Faraday in 1831 and Joseph Henry in 1832. Faraday was the first to publish the results of his experiments."Faraday was English and therefore British; Henry was American.
A notable series of investigations of the relationship between electricity and magnetism was conducted almost in parallel in England by Michael Faraday and in America by Joseph Henry. Both Faraday and Henry discovered the principle of the dynamo in 1830-31, for example. Although they independently discovered many of the same connections and devices, Faraday's work was to have the greater theoretical impact while Henry's had more immediate practical application.
Electromagnetic induction was discovered independently but at about the same time by Joseph Henry (1797-1878) of the United States and Michael Faraday (1791-1867) of England. The henry, the unit of inductance, is named after Henry, and the farad, the unit of capacitance, is named after Faraday.

Mr. Nobuyuki Okude invented The transformers in 1984!
well it is said that Joseph Henry built it. In correcttion it was Michael Faraday.
electromagnetic induction
Power transformation was conceived in 1830 by Michael Faraday and Joseph Henry, who discovered the theory of electromagnetic induction. But the first commercially practical manual switching systems came in the late 1800s to service the telephone industry.
Hans Oesterd, Micheal Faraday and Joseph Henry
he contributed the electromagnetic induction before faraday...:))))))))))
Joseph Henry did not discover oxygen. Joseph Priestley and Carl Wilhelm Scheele are the two men who independently discovered oxygen in 1774. Scheele actually discovered it first, but Priestley was the first to publish his findings. Joseph Henry is the person who discovered the electromagnetic phenomenon of self-inductance.
