The mission of the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was to preach the message of Almighty God to all humans and guide them to the right path of worshiping Almighty God, Who alone deserves worship. Almighty God (Allah) being the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Nourisher, Provider, and Absolute Ruler of all the creatures and worlds should be obeyed and worshipped. As a result, his mission was to unite the whole human race in one Universal human brotherhood.

Like everybody else who became widely known, he had his detractors and his ardent followers, as well as a lukewarm group in between. As is so often the case, his success came after he left home (think of Clint Eastwood and the Italian-made westerns). Of the people who actually knew Mohammed as a living person, such as his child-wife Aisha and his friend and benefactor, Abu Bakr, they largely respected him as a prophet but were also aware of his flaws, which they did not avoid mentioning to him.
