They liked to dance and paint. They also had nine children in 15 years so they also liked spending alone time together.
When Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, died she remained a widow for many years until her own death. She did not have special feelings for anyone else.
Queen Victoria's husband was her first cousin Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Victoria's mother and Albert's father were brother and sister. Albert and Victoria's common uncle Leopold (who was King of Belgium) thought that they would make a good pair. Because Leopold was like a father to Victoria she agreed to meet with Albert and his elder brother Ernest when they were all teenagers. Several years later Leopold wanted Albert to visit England again, and Victoria gave in. During this trip Victoria fell in love with Albert and proposed to Albert.
Queen Victoria's first child was a daughter Princess Victoria. She became Crown Princess Victoria when she married Prince Fredrick of Germany. She later became Empress of Germany when her husband became Kaiser of Germany.
Victoria did't like any one else ony her cousion
Her ancestry was all German. As mother of nine children, her descendants are very numerous. In World War I, they included the King of England, the German Kaiser and the Russian Tsar. The present Queen and Prince Philip are both descended from her.
Some were happy that she was getting married and therefore assuring that there would be a continuation of the monarchy. However there were others who did not like the fact that Victoria was marrying a German man who was not even a Serine Highness.
She was a bit keen on Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. They were at it like knives, having, I think, 10 children. The above statement is actually wrong. SHE WAS MARRIED TO HIM. SHE DIN'T JUST FANCY HIM!!!
she likes blue but when prince Albert died she wore black so there...
Their Majesties King George VI Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother
She went into deep mourning, and never really came out of it. Initially, the public did not approve of this. They wanted to see something for their tax. There were anonymous pamphlets with titles like "What does she do with it all?" They preferred her son, the Prince of Wales, who was always on show at the races or at the theatre, even though he was criticised for idleness (not entirely his fault, as the Queen had refused to give him a job). However, during the second half of her long reign, her popularity increases substantially. During her Golden and Diamond Jubilees there was an outpouring of affection for her and she was widely mourned when she died in 1901.
Queen Victoria's father was Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent and and Strathern. He was one of the children of King George III of England and he died when Victoria was an infant.Queen Victoria's father was Prince Edward, Duke of Kent and Strathearn, who never became King of England, as he was dead by the time his brother died, leaving the throne to a young Victoria.
The public just loved and adored her. Prince Charles was not at all as famous or loved like Diana
