Walt Disney's success came from perseverance. After bankruptcy and losing his first successful character (Oswald) and the bulk of his animation staff he refused to give up.

Also, Disney was an incredible storyteller who was able to inspire his staff to greater heights of achievement. He had a photographic memory and knew how to match artists with each other for maximum effect.

Disney had a keen sense of curiosity and was always moving forward. This desire to see how things worked helped lay the groundwork for technological advances in both animation and his theme parks.

Finally, Disney never like to repeat himself. He always wanted to try something new. This, combined with an almost unerring ability to know what audiences liked, was what made Disney successful.
