Asked in Martin Luther King Jr.
What did people think of Martin Luther King Jr when he was alive?
People who like MLKJ believed him to be a strong, noble person. People who did not like his beliefs saw him as crude and stupid. But all these thoughts trace back to the Civil War. Ever since the Union won, slaves were set free from slavery, but racism still was a major issue. Segregation was a way of black-hating whites would show their beliefs. Whereas people like MLJK tried to put a stop to it. So, wen he made his impact, one man made his by assassinating MLJK with a gun.
