strong centralized government that was self functioning
Federalists
Federalists were for the ratification of the Constitution. Those who opposed such ratification were called Anti-Federalists or Confederalists.
The main contribution that the Federalists did to convince the delegates was to create the Federalist Papers, which were documents supporting the approval of the Constitution. Hope this helps. ;)
Learned this in 6th grade. the anti-federalists thought the national government would become too powerful. So, they argued with the federalists and they got a bill of rights to be added to the const.
The federalist supported the constitution, and the anti-federalist were against the Constitution. I DON'T KNOW THE REST. Go on the Internet for once!
During the ratification of the US Constitution.
Anti-federalists criticized the U Constitution primarily because governing power was concentrated in the national government. Anti-federalists did not want the Constitution to be ratified.
Anti-Federalists wanted a Bill of Rights, which they got in return for agreeing to the Constitution.
The federalists supported it the anti-federalists opposed it
Federalists believed in a strong central government. Obviously, the anti-federalists believed the very opposite. Some federalists might not have been completely satisfied with the US Constitution, but nobody really could be. The anti-federalists were very displeased with the US Constitution, though.
