not really, marlee and me was a yellow lab. that's totally different. Pyrenees pittbulls are all white, w/ short hair. mine is very floppy.

The person below is an idiot. "Pit bull" is not a breed, it is a group of dogs. And AmStaffs are included in the title "Pit bull". Pit bulls are no "meaner" than any other dog. They do not have locking jaws. Pit bulls are dogs. They are just like any other dog. They require responsible ownership, proper care, and training, like ANY other dog. Don't fall into the trap of media fear-mongering.
A pit bull resembles an American staffy and a boxer but is stronger and meaner overall. Pit Bulls have "Lockjaw" which is also present in American Staffy's, which means, once they bite, they won't let go. In the state of New South Wales in Australia, it is illegal to have a Pit Bull un-desexed, so they can be extinct in the state. In my opinion, Pit Bulls are dangerous dogs and if it ever bites someone, it has to be euthanized. Most people choose American Staffy's instead of the Pit Bull, American Staffy's are more friendly.

I personally do not think you should. It is painful for the dog. If you do have it done, ONLY have it done by a Veterinarian, do not attempt it yourself or have anyone else do it. I like dogs to look like they were intended to look like. The tail is a necessary balancer for dogs also.
