The Victorians would go on donkey rides like some beaches today and many would put their feet in the water with their clothes still on as they were afraid to show past there knees. The boys and girls both had separate parts of the beach. People then did not believe in sun bathing. People would be carried to the beach in a little cart with stairs in and out, it would be carried by horses and some may bath in there. There were a few bathing machines for the rich. They would eat ice-cream and littering wasn't a problem because there weren't any wrapped sweets like today or packets of crisps. Some Victorians would read but they wouldn't play on ipods or phones or listen to capital on the radio.

∙ 10y agoAusralians probably do the same sorts of things on or at the beach as people in many other countries do. They swim, surf, waterski, fish, build sand castles, play cricket, and so on.
