The Gothic culture and peoples in the high and late Medieval period were Catholic and developed the Gothic architechure which was so admired by later ages. The Gothic culture was quite advanced and the High Medieval period was literally a high point for the Catholic Church and for Christians. Thus their view on Our Blessed Lord and The Bible was very high. Few common people could read and clerics who could read were held in high regard.
