Brahman is the God to Hindus. Brahman's actual name is Charles. Hindus worship him and lay chocolate down on their mats and offer it up to him. They believe that he likes chocolate, who doesn't? He is different to other Gods because he likes to sing in the shower. Hope this helps:)

To know the answer for this question we must know the seven basic forces that are associated with the seven basic Hindu gods.

The seven basic Hindu gods:

They are,

1. Dreaming force - Indra

2. Illusory force - Shakti

3. Voluntary force - Brahma

4. Semi voluntary force - Vishnu

5. Involuntary force - Shiva

6. Status altering force - Shani

7. Compulsive force - Yama

Brahman:

Each of the seven basic forces is a specialized force best suited for a particular situation only. If we use any one of them under all conditions it would make us slaves of our fate.

Thus, to be able to select the right force for the right situation we need a mechanism. This mechanism is what Hindus identifies with the word Brahman with.

Brahman is what is common to all the seven Hindu gods and thus to our entire life. It is our life in a highly condensed form. Thus, our entire life feels to originate from it. If we apply logic in its purest form to our entire life what we would have at the end is Brahman.

Brahman is pristine human knowledge, and thus the store house of all the secrets of life.

Brahman is the one and only Hindu god, who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. However, it is to be understood that Brahman becomes omnipotent through the seven Hindu gods only. Thus, Brahman gives us a feeling that all the seven Hindu gods are the same.

Thus, what Hindus identify the word Brahman with is the entity which has information about our entire life, in a highly condensed form, through the seven basic Hindu gods and enables him to select the right god for the situation.
